Тогава се добавят картофите, масло,  сол и чер пипер при месото и се  туря да се пече. Като е готова картофите са се зачервили. Изпържва се 1 голяма глава лук със сол , пущат се и кортофите да се поизпържат малко, туря се малко червен пипер и се залива с малко топла вода да поври малко. Нарязва се 1 китка зелен лук на дребно и се запържва с 1 лъжица чисто масло съвсем леко. Туря се  при месото и 1 китка джоден, копър и магданоз. Попарват се лозови листа и се навиват сърмите. Разтопява се само 1 лъжица чисто масло в голям тиган и се пуща 1.5 лъжица брашно да се позапърже малко. Тогава се налива 0.5 канче прясно мляко и като се разбърка добре се наливат няколко лъжици от водата на карнабита са поври. Като уври кокошката се изважда, посолява се със сол и чер пипер, картофите се изваждат от чорбата, доматите се смачкват и кожиците им се изваждат, лука се изважда също. Тогава се слага малко фиде. The spinage is added to stew for some time. Spice the spinage with some black pepper and allspice.&lt;br /&gt;Boil rice with twice as much milk.&lt;br /&gt;In a glass or ceramic baking form which is greased in advance, add part of the rice, then part of the spinage, then again part of the rice, then spinage again, and pour on top a mix of eggs mixed in milk, butter and bake it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Leeks Gjovech&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Wash, cut in large pieces and boil the leeks in salty water.&lt;br /&gt;Fry 1 spoon of flour in butter and add milk little to achieve a mix with milky thin consistency.&lt;br /&gt;In a ceramic baking pan which has been greased in advance, add a layer of the leeks, some black pepper and allspice, then a layer of the milky-flour mix, then  leeks again, then chopped feta cheese, melted butter and the mikly flour mix. Bake it in the oven until it looks ready.&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Zuccini Gjovech&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Wash the Zuccini (2-3 depending on their size), don't peel it, and dry it. Cut them into slices and salt them slightly. Fry 1 onion in some olive oil and salt, and add one diced tomato and a cup of rice (washed). Spread the mixture in a baking dish and layer on top the zuccini slices, like shingles, each row slightly covering the previous one. Pour some more olive oil on top of the zuccini, a little flour, and some water on the side and start baking. Doinova&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;4 eggs&lt;br /&gt;1.5 cup sugar&lt;br /&gt;the juice and peel of one lemon&lt;br /&gt;6 spoon-fulls of melted butter&lt;br /&gt;3 teaspoon-fulls of amonia solution (!)&lt;br /&gt;1 cup crushed walnuts&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;All ingredients without the walnuts are mixed together in a soft dough. Half of it is poured into a baking pan and covered with a layer of marmalade /jam /fruit spread. The remaining half of the dough is mized with the walnuts and laid on top of the mamalade. Then it is baked. She lived from 1877 to 1956 in Bulgaria. She was a school-teacher and after she married, became a house-wife. She had two sons and a maid. I am not sure if she or the maid did the cooking.&lt;br /&gt;The title page says "Recipes for sweets, cakes and all kinds of dishes". There is also an additional line "belonging to Zdravka Popova" written with a child's handwriting (by my grand-father, or grand-uncle, or my mother?).&lt;br /&gt;The notebook is tiny, the recipes - handwritten with difficult to read handwriting, but don't seem complicated. Recipes are mixed with weekly menus, which seem really rich. She was quite a lofty lady, but her sons and husband were so slim they looked like coming out from a labour camp. Perhaps they didn't like her cooking? Everything calls for "real butter". I wonder if they had fake butter back then. Margarine was certainly not available. Perhaps she wrote this to contrast with lard? Why would I want to copy these recipes here? I wonder... I am reading a book called "Predictably Irrational" by Dan Arieli   (&lt;a href="http://www.predictablyirrational.com/"&gt;www.predictablyirrational.com&lt;/a&gt;)  and find it one of the best "eye-opening" books I have read. Every single irrationality described applies 100% to me and I suppose to everyone else. So there you go. Read the book to learn about yourself, your procrastination, vanities, fears, prides, stupid decisions,  and try to control your irrationality to not waste the time given to you to be on Earth. Truly empowering, great book.
